The Irish Craft Beer Festival held in the RDS from Thursday the 27^th of August until Saturday 29^th of August, included 40+ breweries and over 200 craft beers to taste over the 3 days, with artisan food and music all adding to the mix. This festival is going from strength to strength each year. Well done

100 microbreweries brewing craft beer in Ireland

According to the Beoir, Beoir is an independent group of consumers with a primary goal of supporting and raising awareness of Ireland’s native independent microbreweries, there are 100 microbreweries brewing craft beer in Ireland today, of these 67 have their own physical breweries, while a further 33 are either Gypsy brewers or contract brew with other microbreweries. On top of this you can add 18 Artisan Cider producers. Source: beoir.org.

This is a huge change from 10 years ago when we were probably lucky to have 10 breweries on the island, including the big commercial ones.

Pegas CraftPad light

The Ongoing development by NPM sees an extension to the range of innovative products that allow the use of counter pressure to fill growlers with craft bee.

The latest product is the Pegas CraftPad light, while the counter top Pegas CraftPad allowed 4 craft beers to be served through the Pegas CrafTap, the new light version now will serve up to 6 and can be flush mounted into the counter or wall to save space.

Official Launch Date is the 20^th of September, but Craftbeer Growlers Ltd is taking advanced orders now.
