A Growler is a refillable container, into which draught beer is poured for home consumption. Today’s Growler comes in many different shapes and sizes – 2 litre, 1 litre, 64 floz, 32 floz, glass, ceramic, plastic and stainless steel as well as many novelty shapes.
Filling a Growler from a traditional beer tap is not as easy as it may seem and has a tendency to cause the beer to foam and overflow from the Growler, resulting in waste. (There is nothing worse than wasted beer!) The beer also comes in contact with air and will immediately start to oxidise.
